WHITES WHITES WHITES!
IT’S ALL
WHITE
ON THE NIGHT
Like Eubank versus Benn the 2025 Pen Cup was a tough scrap that came down to just a few points. The five shot lead The Whites carried into day two after a dominant day at Holyhead ultimately proved too much for The Billies to claw back.
Matt Warren, Tony Nicholls and Bryn Topping all put four points on the board and to solidify the win, in a Pen Cup first, Nic Cooke beat Phil Weatherstone in The Parkland Duel. The overall score now sits at 6-3 to The Whites.
After the celebrations in 2022 The Whites made sure The Billies had to eat more shit than Bear Grylls as they partied at full volume in Abersoch. Whites! Whites! Whites!
What a night for The Whites, but also what a weekend for all involved. Role on the 10th instalment of The Peninsula Cup!

THEY ALL COUNT
KING OF THE BRYN
Whites rookie Bryn Topping racks up 4 huge points for his team including an upbeatable nearest the pin at Pwllheli on day two. The bonus points all went to The Whites as his playing partner Matt Warren took the longest drive award down the last hole of the weekend.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAVE MAKES
Ever present Dave Stone is all smiles on day one despite being 5 back of the opposition. He made his own comeback against Myles Tunstall at Pwllheli on day two whilst notching up 32 stableford points, but he was ultimately left contemplating what could have been for The Billies.
BE MY GUEST, PUT YOUR GOLF TO THE TEST
Another rookie, Simon Guest, joined The Billies’ roster this year as a late replacement for Rich “Yozza” Hughes. He won both matched and lead the weekend stableford with 67 points. Despite a cracking opening effort he quickly learnt what it is like to be on the losing side of The Pen Cup weekend!
PEN PALS
Paul Hayes and Tony Nicholls were (almost) inseperable over the weekend; driving, rooming, breakfasting and playing together. It was Tony who eventually nicked the point from his buddy on day two at Pwllheli, with the pair putting 3 and 4 points on the board for their teams. Their bromance with a competitive edge epitomises what the Pen Cup is all about.
